Law Clerk

Wilson Elser's DC Metro offices are looking for part-time Law Clerks to work up to 28 hours during the school year. We are looking for a total of 3 Law Clerks, 1 to be based in each office located in Washington DC, McLean, and Baltimore.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is currently a third year law school student looking to take on a part time position with a national law firm. The law clerk will have the opportunity to work on a fast-paced team focused on insurance matters, and will gain substantive, transferable legal experience.

The Position

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required

• Currently enrolled as a third year law student at an accredited Law School to earn their JD

• Experience and / or strong interest in insurance defense

• Familiarity with litigation processes a plus

• Must be goal oriented, efficient and extremely organized

• Prior work experience in a fast - paced professional environment

• Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Legal and factual research

• Assist with analyzing legal and factual issues

• Relevancy and issue reviews of documents

• Assist with drafting coverage opinions and client reports
